Local Ministry Partners
Part of our vision is to raise up 10 fully supported missionaries, establish 10 bases around the world, and support 15 international and 15 local causes. We've made strategic partnerships with the following local ministries:
Band of Brothers www.bellinghambob.org
Band of Brothers is held in a safe environment in which men can come together in a neutral setting with other men. They learn to lean on each other and draw closer to Jesus through the solid biblical principles expressed and taught each Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Christ the King Church. They are also provided with a “No Charge” BBQ meal. They keep it simple . . . Men Being Real . . . No Man Left Behind!
Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic www.whatcomclinic.com
The Whatcom County Pregnancy Clinic is a non-profit agency that desires to help and support men and women facing a possible unplanned pregnancy. They offer information on options to equip teens for healthy relationships and to help men, women and families cope with the effects of abortion. All services are provided free of charge.
Bellingham Young Life www.bellingham.younglife.org
Young Life is a non-denominational, non-profit mission committed to impacting kid’s lives for Christ and preparing them for the future. Young Life holds informal meetings where teenagers can gather in a safe environment, laugh, meet others, play games, and hear the gospel message in terms they can understand and appreciate. They also have weekly Bible studies and prayer. Currently Bellingham Young Life has teams serving at Bellingham, Sehome and Squalicum High Schools, Fairhaven, Kulshan and Whatcom Middle Schools, and has a ministry to kids with disabilities known as Capernaum.

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) helps mobilize the church to transform lives and communities. This clearinghouse receives calls from people in need, then connects them with churches and agencies able to address their specific needs. Love INC verifies that an individual’s need is legitimate, specific and manageable before referring that person to a Christian volunteer or organization for help. They work closely with local churches to use the gifts, skills and resources god has already placed in our midst in order to meet needs in our community.

The Lighthouse Mission Ministries is a private, non-profit Christian agency that has been working in Whatcom county since 1923. They provide temporary emergency shelter for men, women, and children who are in need of shelter, food, clothing, furniture, counseling or financial assistance. They are dedicated to helping those who have not been able to help themselves. The Lighthouse Mission’s emphasis is on helping people come to know the difference that God can make in their lives.
North America Indigenous Ministries www.naim.ca
Tom and June Cox have been serving Native Americans since 1977 under North America Indigenous Ministries. Helping people grow in their knowledge and love of God is their passion. They lead bible studies, make hospital visits and counsel informally. They reach out by helping with home tasks, organizing volunteers and transportation needs. Tom & June’s lives have been enriched and enhanced by living in the Lummi community.
Light of the World Prayer Center www.lowpc.org
LOWPC is a place where night and day, Spirit-led, scripture-fed, worship-based prayer ignites a fresh passion for Christ. It’s a lighthouse, shining the light of God’s grace and blessing into local churches, families, ministries, schools, businesses, healthcare centers, media, and government leaders. It is also a place where believers young and old from any churches and backgrounds gather in unity at the throne of grace.
Support Officer Community Care www.supportofficer.org
Support Officer Community Care is a Whatcom County based, non-profit agency that provides care and support to families and first-responders when sudden unexpected, and/or traumatic death is involved. Support officers also provide the community with valuable annual training in Critical Incident Stress Management and Suicide Awareness.
Rebound www.reboundwc.org
Rebound of Whatcom County is committed to equipping, strengthening and empowering children and families facing difficult life circumstances. They do this by working cooperatively with public and private organizations to build community through practical expressions of faith. The Compass Kids Support Group meets on Mondays at CTK and Thursdays at Birchwood Presbyterian. They provide a positive place where kids learn how to express their feelings in appropriate ways. The flying Colors After School Care program meets daily from 2:30 – 5:30 at Northwest Baptist Church and provides academic, emotional and behavioral support.
Whatcom Jail Ministry
The Chaplains of the Whatcom County Jail Ministries (WCJM) provide spiritual support, Bibles and Christian books for the men and women inmates of the Whatcom County jail facilities. Volunteers staff Bible studies for youth in Juvenile Detention as well as women’s and men’s Bible studies throughout each week in the jail facilities. Their partnership with Prison Fellowship provides the direction and structure to enable expanded Christian services to those touched by crime.
One-to-One Ministries
The ministry of One-to-One mobilizes evangelical Christians from Whatcom County who volunteer their time, extending godly hands of friendship to lost and lonely people. Volunteers minister to those who are incarcerated in prison and to those in the juvenile detention center. One-to-One ministry strives to follow the example of Christ by actively seeking out the lost, the lonely, and the forgotten among the young and old alike.
